perfect, the rain day falling
over flint and cast as steel
coffee steam rising and
a wish of your here
— and knowing your why
whisper water on pavement
hush, don’t wake up the us
slumber undercover and
d r i f t o f f —
drift off

We’re expecting rain tomorrow. This poem will be perfect for then.

We have some of it here 🙂

I’m always putting pressure on myself to be doing something. Rainy days are a perfect reason to just stay home and read a book.

A very evocative piece, Michael. Sometimes rain can bring a sense of calm reflection…and sometimes just melancholy!

Perhaps both in the same breath.

Yes, I tend to agree.

Really love this, so dreamy. Man, I hope it rains here soon.

Here’s to hoping both of us get some. It’s been terribly dry here as well.

Oh I love this, so cozy and dreamy

Thank you Jennifer. 💙

That is delightful.

Thank you, Ted 🙏
