A long and winding road

I will be taking a break from posting new material on-site for an indeterminate period of time. For the most part, anyway — if something tickles my fancy and I feel it inflicts maximum torture on you, the reader, I may post it.

But the fun (sic) doesn’t end just because I am taking a break.

I’ll be scheduling some repost of older pieces from the earlier iteration of the site over the coming days. You can marvel and be amazed at just how far I have or have not come in my writing skills (again, sic) since 2020 and onward. Some pieces might even be found in my book (now in hardcover and larger format!), which I have shamefully not promoted in the recent past.

[You should know that I’m terrible at self-promotion, if you haven’t guessed that already.]

I may also pop on by your lovely sites less often than I have as I try to limit my Pavlovian dopamine hits via interaction. Lucky you! Fewer undesirable and silly comments from me.

Why? I am recalibrating.

Self. Writing style and approach. Spiritual and emotional state. General burnout. Other things that I likely forgot to include in this short paragraph.

I am tempted to set up a Discord to talk to myself and for anyone daring to peek behind the curtain during this time. But probably not. That seems like more torture than most people are willing to endure. And I never listen to myself anyways.

Other side -> Seeing you

Enjoy the refresh – we all need one now & again. I’m in a bit of an in-between with my blog overhaul…but I’ve decided it takes as long as it takes cause I don’t have time right now. Enjoy watching your new furbabies grow 🐯😊

I need to take a step back and critically evaluate everything.

      The furbabies are getting huge!

All the best–I completely understand as I have been around less than usual, dealing with health issues and a couple of hospitalizations. Mental and physical health come first!

Fingers crossed that the health issues are on the mend and improving!

Been there, done that, totally understand. I took some time out myself not that long ago, and I’m back to wondering what I can cut in order to spend more time doing what I love – and this from a retired person who’s busier than when I was out working. Take time, take a breath, chill, cuddle the kitties. Do whatever it takes and get your head together. Will see you whenever. All the best.

    Recharge and reinvent.
I shall, no doubt, still be here 🤣

Goodness, I certainly hope so. I’m not sure what I’d do if not.

What book Michael? Did I miss something? It wouldn’t be the first time!

I stopped actively promoting it about mid-2025. A short book of poetry called “Galdr: Thought+Memory”, available in print in most Amazon markets and via other online booksellers as well.

Thank you! Will check it out! 😊

Thanks for giving it some consideration 💙
