I love this, not the least because you used an image that for a while was the cover of my first book, ‘Fairytales Don’t Come True’, and the whiskey’d lovebites and dreams of your poem fit with that text in bittersweet fashion. Great unintentional intertextuality! 😊😊😊
There seems to be a lot of accidental convergences going on the post few weeks for me 😂
That’s very cool and thank you very much 🙏🏼
No, thank you, it was good to think back. Strange how these things happen, but it does seem to suggest that there’s more going on in this world than what the eye can see. Have a good weekend. 🙂
As lovers do.
Wonderful piece.
Thank you. 🙂
whiskey’d lovebites … wonderful! and I miss those.
Ahh yes. There was always something different about those on the receiving end that was luscious, right?
I miss youth because of those moments. Seems like they fade away as you get older. Or people have wised up to your shenanigans…
We had a community back then. Though I think it more resembled the island of misfit toys. But we belonged.
Absolutely. I think it was our misfit natures that drew us together. It was all very anticlique for most of us because we didn’t want to reject anyone, except maybe those that had rejected us in the first place.
That’s how it was with us as well. Just a bunch of misfits.
