Break

Thank you, everyone, for all of your support on this site — I really appreciate it.

I know that everyone is used to seeing multiple posts from me each day, so I wanted to put it out that I plan to take a day or several off from posting new material. I have hit a point where I feel a need to do a bit of a digital unplugging. Clear my head, redirect. That kind of thing.

My absence isn’t the sort of thing that should be construed as I may have drowned in the bathtub… As tempting as it might be to do so at times. Or to do to me.

The nice thing about doing so is that I should have some time to explore and focus on an old creative commitment I made a while back that I never got around to working on.

I might post some “ancient history” poetry in the meantime, from that time where I originally made that commitment. I’ll note the original post date and if I’m made any significant edits when I do.

I’m looking forward to seeing you in a few days, give or take.

I apologize that I haven’t been around much lately…more health issues to contend with. In fact, I’m going to try to get caught up on my weekend playlist posts sometime today, several days late. Be well–do what you gotta–see you on the other side.

I hope it isn’t too serious and that you get well soon. There’s absolutely nothing to apologize for! We all do what we can do.

As well as it can be. My phone is full of stories, writings, and pieces of things. Mostly editing for me.

Get’s lots of rest. Your mind and body can only take so much. Whatever you decide to share with us will be fabulous. ✍️

Take it easy. Write up a storm. Don’t forget to come back and share. ✍️

I’ve not been doing much writing the past few days — giving my brain a slight rest (at least with words) and reset. I’ve been more focused on the other project while largely tuning out the digital world (except for work). I’m hoping I can make it ready for prime-time in the nearish future, but no promises. I hope all is well for you.

Thanks! It has been good for self-reflection and for using a different part of my brain.

Great to hear, Michael! I am experiencing a similar sort of redirect (pull into longer work/ other forms) which has me moving from daily to about 3x per week and being less present here only irks me on the level of sometimes not being as regularly in contact with some of the best of what happens on WP, which for me involves your site. Synchronicity strikes again : ) I look forward to following these updates.

You’ve very kind, Stacey. I appreciate what you bring to the online word and, while I don’t always have a comment when you post, I do greatly enjoy reading your posts when you have time. I’m looking forward to what you have in store. Anticipation…

Take all the time you need, Michael. You post when you want, or not, and I’ll read it when it’s there. All the best for your other creative commitment. 🙂

Thank you, Laura. It has been nice to give a different (largely empty) chamber in my noggin a chance to get rid of the atrophy setting up residence within. 🙂

We all need a break from it all at times. 😊

I have been. It has been strange not being too wed to the online world these past few days, but I think I might be able to get used to it if I let myself.
