First time seeing them live in about 40 years tonight. Hope it is mind blowing as the first time I saw them.
It should be interesting, either way.

Enjoy!
Definitely planning on trying to!
Have the best time!
It was a good time. Not quite as mind-blowing as the show in 87, but Mac and Will were in good form.
So glad to hear it! Were you in the pit? How was the crowd? I’ve noticed lately some people don’t know pit etiquette.
I was about three people away from the stage barrier in the pit (it was almost all standing room only unless you paid premium in the balcony — it was a converted movie theater.
There was a general lack of understanding about personal space all around, but that seems to have fallen by the wayside everywhere. And you had a few people more interested in partying than watching the band — they probably didn’t know most of the songs.
The crowd was an odd split of 20-somethings and 50-somethings with almost nothing in between. There was one particularly belligerent guy who got his comeuppance when they had to pause the show for him as a potential medical emergency. He passed out standing; either too much drink or two little hydration or both. The crowd improved after they escorted him to the lobby. Fewer dickwad comments between songs and catcalls.
Other than that, the crowd was behaved. I was a little surprised that it seemed that most had come for “The Killing Moon” and “Lips Like Sugar”. At least half gave blank stares through most of the rest of the set (it leaned towards their early 80s albums).
I had fun, though. So did my daughter.
That’s about what I’ve experienced lately-lack of personal space and way too many people just there for a party. Glad you and your daughter had a great time!
Fun! 🎶
It was! 🎼
That’s great! 😃 I saw them a few years ago.
Mac’s age was showing in the performance (little more graveled and lacked his younger punch), but that’s more of an observation than a complaint. I’m guessing it’s not much changed from what you saw a few years ago.
Sounds about right. 👍🏻
Hope you enjoy – after all McCulloch is the (self-proclaimed) greatest song writer of all time!
Do you have evidence that he is not?
🤣
I think Will and Mac have matched egos. They both think they’re damn fine songwriters. Just ask them.
I did enjoy myself, but my expectations were set accordingly. The music was tight, Mac’s voice is showing it’s age and the abuse he has foisted on it, the last gig of the US tour (although Mac assured us Minneapolis was saved for last because it was his favorite US city to play, which might be BS, but he has never been one to mince words), and they played a surprising number of songs from Crocodile, Heaven Up Here and Porcupine. And a surprising frequency of shifting to covers midsong. It was fun.
Good, I’m glad you enjoyed yourself. Sometimes the old ones are the best!
My faves were always pre-Grey album for them, so I was in heaven.
Never moved me tbh, but each to their own, and I’m pleased they didn’t disappoint.
