Follow-up on State-sponsored terrorists invading Minnesota

Photo of Alex Pretti, the 37yo man who was ruthlessly murdered this morning by Federal agents. Photo was captured on The Guardian, January 24, 2026.

Sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Alex Pretti. From all accounts he was a giant asset to our city. He was not a criminal or part of a far-left conspiracy bullshit thing they will try to paint him as. He was normal, hardworking, and probably better person than most of us. He was a goddamn VA nurse, for fuck’s sake.

Unlike his killers, he brought life to his world. By all account he loved and cared for people.

Eyewitness accounts say he was shot as many as 10 times (10 shots rang out on the video), some at close range. All because an ICE agent pushed down a woman and he was helping her get back up. While as many as six men jumped on him, started beating and kicking him, and they say he was murdered for “resisting arrest”. I’ve seen the video enough to say that someone is not resisting arrest when they are turtled the way he was in that video. He was protecting his organs and face.

He had the audacity to film these men who beat him just before he stepped up to help that woman. Again, eyewitness accounts. Fuck the “official record” when the Nazis won’t let state, county or city police enter the crime scene to conduct an impartial investigation. WITH judicial warrants. Yes, they pulled that shit again.

He was a gun owner who had a permit to legally conceal and carry. His “criminal background” was a parking ticket. If you are a gun owner, it should disturb you that they are painting him out as threatening and being aggressive to the federal agents, but eyewitnesses disagree with that assessment. The feds argument is that he shouldn’t have been carrying. Except… he has a legal right to do so. He was killed for trying to protect a female protester getting manhandled by a thug.

Alex Pretti’s parents, Michael and Susan Pretti, have issued a statement following their son’s death at the hands of federal agents in Minneapolis on Saturday.

“We are heartbroken but also very angry,” they said in the statement, which was read aloud on local news channel KARE 11. “Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital.”

“Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately, he will not be with us to see his impact.”

“I do not throw around the ‘hero’ term lightly. However his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting,” they said. “Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He has his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down, all while being pepper sprayed.”

“Please get the truth out about our son,” they continued. “He was a good man.”

He died because he helped someone in need. He did not wear a mask to conceal his identity. Only the guilty hide their faces.

How many more of our lovely people must die before this madness ends?

If you are not outraged, you should be, No one should die under these circumstances, and people are dying on a weekly basis across our country.

If you are not outraged, I question if you are human, or just some automata who is programmed to fake being a human analogue.

Here are some humans to emulate. Gods bless them all for their support of our besieged city.

[21.18 CST] And new video evidence completely annihilates the narrative our fascists government is trying to sell us about the incident. Is anyone fucking surprised? Or that they are telling you to not trust your fucking lying eyes?

I’ve been reading about this on the news. Absolutely disturbing.

The situation is unbearable, Michael. Following it all from Australia. So terribly terribly sad.

Thank you very much. Just when you think they cannot go lower, the end up proving there is no bottom to their depravity and hate.

This is beyond disturbing. Every single murder is on Kristi Noem’s cosmetically-altered ugly head. Of course she justifies each one–this from the profoundly insane animal abuser who shot her dog in cold blood in a rock quarry and bragged about it in a book.

She is just as sick as the infant in charge. I hope she goes to trial eventually and pays all of the consequences due to her. She is a pathetic worm of a person who should be punished for each of these crimes.

Thank you for this Michael. Until you posted this, I did not know this was your city I had been following so closely. The stark clarity of moral opposites is so stunning, made more so in the villain’s predictable efforts to obfuscate. Standing with you and your city, friend. In East San Diego, in a mostly immigrant community, we prepare with trepidation and resolve to meet what comes. It is already here, but not yet on that scale. But we have seen them. We know people who have been unlawfully and brutally detained. We are inspired by your city’s model of resistance.

      Thank you Stacey. 💙

They are untethered from reality and driven by the ideal of that nazi-inspired turd of a right hand man to the infant. This is what they want to bring to every city in the country that doesn’t bend the knee. They’ve said so and this is proof that they intend to follow through.

It is worse than it looks on the internet. Even my family is hesitant to go out of the house because we have to ask ourselves if we will come home because someone takes offense to something we say or do. I can’t believe that I just told my twins tonight that if something feels wrong at the bus stop they should ride to the next stop or further and someone will pick them up.

I can’t believe that I am telling 12-yo girls to start bringing their mobile phones to school to call 911 or let us know if something happens. I thought this doesn’t happen in America, but apparently what I grew up believing is a fairytale.

This year feels like the sequel to 2020. If I had kids I’d be utterly terrified for them so can’t imagine how you are going on Michael. This side of the pond we are getting a new “Police force FBI”, elections have been cancelled, kids banned from having phones at school & to make it “safer” parents can no longer drive the kids to school. Oh & the UK government have agreed to a Chinese super embassy – right next to the beating heart of all intelligence and WI-FI cables. I don’t understand how people can’t see what is happening right in front of them? It is beyond insane. I have no other words tbh but if you ever just need a friend to talk too you have my email from your subscriber list. Stay as safe as you can – I’m hoping there is enough sense in the world that we won’t keep repeating history but 🤷‍♀️

I’ve been following some of those stories from your side of the pond, so I have an idea of what you’re going through as well. I’m looking for ways that I can feel some agency in my life that don’t put my life or liberty at risk, at least not by the currently evolving standards where our nation is becoming more repressive.

I’ll probably take advantage of your offer. I can always use more perspectives and have someone to talk to when I feel like pulling out my hair. I offer the same invitation to you.

The more I read about this the worse it gets, Michael. No way did he pull a gun, even had he wanted to, with all those thugs holding him down while they beat him. I’ve read a comment elsewhere noting – even aside from the fact that he was legally allowed to carry the gun, for which h he had a licence – that some medical staff have taken to carrying weapons due to the increased threat of violence they now face in their work due to the withdrawal of medicare from so many who badly need it: desperate people who may lash out at those trying to help them. And this fascist regime is now trying to smear his character. It’s sickening in the extreme. Take care, my friend. These are horrible times, and you’re up there at the front.

    1. michael raven Avatar

His true offense was filming the activities of the agents and speaking up when he helped catch a woman they shoved. They started shoving him around and his second offense was to tell the bully to not touch him. The gun was superfluous to the altercation and he made no threatening gestures other than to push back when pushed. It would never had made a appearance if they hadn’t started gang-beating the man, causing it to fall out of its holster. These men are professional thugs. To call them law enforcement is an insult to those people who do the hard work of enforcing laws.

      1. lyndhurstlaura Avatar

I agree, Michael. I saw the video from the woman in pink this morning. All he did was try to help the woman they were shoving around – one of them took the gun from his belt before they shot ten bullets at him. One would have been too many. They’re utter thugs, Dump’s gestapo, with him and the witch he’s put in charge now trying to smear the victim. Utterly sickening, as are the creeps all over social media laughing about it. So much hate; where does it end?

        1. michael raven Avatar

I have no answers, unfortunately. I only hope his death is the one that evokes change in this current tribulation.

          1. lyndhurstlaura Avatar

We can hope. What a terrible time, and appalling crime.

  6. lyndhurstlaura Avatar

And what sickens me more? The amount of trolls and ghouls gloating over this murder on social media. So much hate; how did it come to this?

    1. michael raven Avatar

Hate is rewarded by social media. The longer I am away from traditional social media sites, the more I am convinced it is a cancer.

      1. lyndhurstlaura Avatar

I seem to have repeated myself in the comment I’ve added below, but it’s important so can’t be stressed too much. I agree about social media; I never touched it until I became an author wanting to get readers; before that I referred to it as ‘anti-social media’, and that side is beginning to outweigh the positive side. As to the murder, I never thought to see such times, which is what everybody says when it intrudes into their world, I suppose. Take care of you and yours; thinking of you all.

There has to be a way so stop this.

    1. michael raven Avatar

Short of our elected leaders putting a stop to it and reining in the excesses of the corrupt administration, I can’t see how. And one elected side is apparently perfectly okay with what is happening to our city. All we can do is continue to resist this unlawful occupation of our city and to try and draw attention to it on platforms like WordPress (without sensationalism) to make people realize that this isn’t a bunch of progressive activists clutching their pearls. Short of taking up arms ourselves, all we can do is resist and speak out; to demand justice.

I would much rather be writing my doggerel poetry and inane observations of the world in general, but the actions of the last few weeks are forcing me to to take to the only thing I can do safely that won’t end up in incarceration. Writing about it. The other alternative seems to risk death, as it is increasingly becoming clear as to what happened to Pretti, who was peacefully observing the protests and murdered in cold blood for helping someone being attacked by the people who are supposed to be enforcing law and order.

      This is not normal.

      1. Veselin Avatar

It is normal for a country on the path to becoming next Russia or China. From the outside, the whole ICE thing looks meaningless.

        1. michael raven Avatar

I know, which is why I am trying to write more about it.

Thanks, I appreciate your perspective from a different point of view than we see here in the US.

          1. Veselin Avatar

A country, built primarily by immigrants, fighting immigration.

          2. michael raven Avatar

Exactly. It is peak absurdity when they are trying to also oust the indigenous tribal members from our city. Several local tribal members have been detained and arrested for being darker-skinned because these guys can’t tell the difference. But their people were never immigrants, so it is a hard sell to deport them.

Let’s hope for justice. Just an unfathomable amount of hate. How did we get here?

    1. michael raven Avatar

I blame the cancer of social media for a large part of it, combined with a group of hate-filled politicians who don’t mind destroying the country as they know it in order to realize a Caucasian and Christian (only in name, not in actions) authoritarian regime.

      1. Bob Avatar

Well said. I agree. Social media has a large part of this blame. At least how it’s used. And christian nationalism is all together authoritarian. And certainly is Christ-like.
