If I had any shame, I’d not share this.
Unfortunately for you, I when it comes to music I love, I have no shame.
I stumbled across this today, a song I haven’t heard in ages. It does not fit in with the Towards the Within series, so I’m sharing it solely because of whim. I’ll admit that Danielle is one of those guilty secrets I have like the Strawberry Switchblade. I mean, who doesn’t love glamour-goth, psychedelic images and polka dot-razorwire cuteness?
I’m gonna have to see if Danielle stands the test of time [hint: probably not, but I’ll still smile as I listen]. This still is a fun little banger though.

Hmm…don’t know about standing the test of time. But Strawberry Switchblade is an amazing name for a band. And they are cute.
Oh, they definitely don’t unless you have nostalgic memories for them. And yes… I bought their album based on the polka dots and name alone 🤣
Still love their poppy music with their pretty dark lyrics, however. It was a great contrast.
I get the nostalgia. If I had heard it when young, I’d feel that same. I agree about the poppy music and dark lyrics…that’s an interesting combo.

Danielle Dax was a bit of a strange thing at her time. She rubbed elbows with goth bands, but did this more go go girl style of looks and pop-centric music. Fans still adore her. Thanks for checking her out.
