Isn’t it time to retire the concept of the G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time)?
I mean, how does one even begin to objectively quantify that in order to support such a statement?
The biggest issue is that whenever someone says such a thing, is that it is always presented as fact when it is absolutely pure opinion. You can’t quantify such things and it is usually a tactic to bully someone into thinking as you do.
“Be one of us now….”
The acronym even rubs me wrong. Goats everywhere are offended by it. “Appropriation!”

Ha! You will bow to my opinions!
Chris… You are the GOAT.
🤣🤣
Pretty sure the goats would headbutt anyone in their way…gotta love such a stubborn beauty!
True. I suspect that’s why goats and I get along so well. Birds of a feather and all that…
It’s never ‘the greatest of all time’, just the greatest–in the opinion of the person saying it–of time up to that point in time, because how can they know what’s to come? Chaucer may have been seen as the GOAT of English writers for a couple of centuries, and then along came Shakespeare to take the title, which he still holds, in my opinion; but who knows what’s to come? It’s a silly saying, really, by no means the GOAT of memorable expressions! 😂
A perfect example. People can be so weird about being part of the “in crowd”. Maybe because I’ve always been the outsider, I have a hard time understanding the motivation for such things.
I’m a bit like that, never been one of the ‘in’ crowd or any crowd, really. I can fit in and get on with people, but when I’m alone I know I’m with ‘my tribe’. 🙂
