Thank you Chris. I’ve been slightly obsessed with this idea in recent years, even if I don’t mention it often.
I have memories of a movie where white people are put to pasture out in the forest, wheel chairs and all. Most of them are quite dotty and see it as an outing.
Sometimes I wonder if the movie was something I actually dreamed, instead of seen on the television.
Maybe I was there. IDK.
Interesting. I do think that western societies, despite claiming otherwise, perhaps subtly almost encourage this; farming off social care from state to individual for example. I appreciate that this practice was the norm in the past, but society does like to portray itself as an all encompassing carer.

It’s been so hot lately, I’m getting on board your autumn poems. The cool breeze, the fall colors.
I’m tired of AC, but the smoke from the Canadian fires and the heat keep it on.
We haven’t had the smoke from Canada too bad this year. The previous two years were bad. You could taste the soot in the air.
Yeah it’s not that bad this year but you can see it and it makes someone like me get coughing fits.
