all these sharp objects tempting
of the thorn words piercing lips
to suture and to bind and to seal
away razor cantrips in sting
dawnblade dancing broken wrists
to pirouette to pain and thrust
for scarlet upon the snowdrops
at least, they will say, he had good cause

Love the mix of sharp and movement, so indicative of winter right now.

How low do you folks get down there in the winter for temps? Thank you Bridgette 💙

You’ll laugh! It’s not low at all, especially compared to MN, but we don’t have a heater and I’ve been freezing this year.

I recall how cold it could get in Seattle (they didn’t have a heater in my first apartment), so I can imagine how nights might get chilly. Layer up! dad says… 😁

One cut to feel and another to bleed,
One cut to see and another to leave.Reading this between the lines. Relatable.

Great response. Thanks, Chris.
It is the empty spaces that tell the greatest truths.

This is true.
I like how something written with feeling inspires something else…and so the cycle continues.
