    hermitage calling,
    i shuffle to mountaintops
    to sweep out the debris
    from my simple shack
    a facet of memory,
    what hint of comradery;
    it is slow work with
    a single black quill
    but it pleases
    spirits when i do—

    we flamegaze the dusk
    telling tales 'til dawn
    between long silences

    straining again the fade away
    but whatever reason for?
    transparent to the oblivion already
    a silent walking phantasmagoria
but raspy ghast my hollow voice
left to knockers 'twixt walls tapping
    aimless wander alone

    everyone driftboard skates past
    these hoarsewhisperered screams
    percolating out eggshell cracks
    growing back between the grass
    wiltgreen hairs of tarball sheen

    glide tinnitus, that heartbeat
    shattermouth glass wrapped in
    barbedwire dreams as the
    everyone driftboard skates
    with only an "oh, bother"
    on lips to greet
