I don’t KNOW this was a toad, but image search sure was certain about it and the other resident critters that could produce it are unlikely to get quite so close to the front door (or a chipmunk was having a terrible, no-good, very bad day — I can believe a toad over a chipmunk). My alternate guess is the turkeys, but it didn’t look like bird poo (and they are nervous about the cats in the windows).
Our toads are pretty friendly. For not really being very close to water, they sure seem to like our yard. And, apparently, our front stoop. Plenty of things to make a meal out of for them.

You wouldn’t believe it came from a toad if you saw how big it was. But, apparently, they can be super poopers.
Oh wow! I had no clue.
I wasn’t aware toads left a mess, which is silly of course, but I’ve honestly never been around one long enough to see it.

Oh man. I was hoping you had like a friendly toad that just hung out with you on the porch.

If you ever snap a pic, I’d love to see it. I’ve got a soft spot for toads and really see any where I live.
They tend to hide when I’m outside and come out at night, but I’ll see what I can do. 🙂
