when they came with
their rail cars and
their razor wire,
will it be a step too far
then?
or will you look away
as you say, at least
it's not us, it's them?

☹️ Are you doing okay?
We’re okay here so far. Don’t believe the drawdown promises or the ratcheting down. Same business as before, as Portland, OR can attest. In some ways, worse because they are trampling on freedom of press while they are at it now.
Glad you guys are okay. Have you worked on any music challenges lately? Or hey, have you ever checkout out PEN America? They’re pretty cool! They always have things going on. Who knows, some of those happenings might help ease your mind? That organization could use as much love and support from people right now as possible. Take care.
I’ve been busy with a bunch of behind-the-scenes things that aren’t reflected here (some of which are because they aren’t part of this sphere) and, when I am not, I am vacationing in a fantasy world called Tyria (Guild Wars 2).
I haven’t been in the mood for making music lately, although I recently stumbled upon a YouTube account where they get professional musicians to do covers of songs in genres or styles completely different from their own (a jazz ensemble doing “Heart Shaped Box” by Nirvana, Spin Doctors doing their interpretation of “Purple Rain”, a Norwegian death metal band doing “Take on Me”). That has been wonderful to see how these bands reinterpret songs in a short period of time (from a few hours to a day).
I’ve heard of PEN America. I’ll think about it, but I’m not sure I have the time to commit to anything more right now. Thanks for the idea.
I need say nothing, really.
Bad dreams leaning with lingering dread into waking…
Dreaming through a nightmare, isn’t the best way out of one. But…

Thank you. 🙏
