arrival

i fold to forest trails
in a meander with grey stone
drone under feet and
red wing cattail dancing

oh dragonfly...
please don't take flight
we only both just
arrived

    Dragonflies are captivating.

      I used to watch them for hours when I had nothing better to do during summers at my aunt’s cabin. I don’t know if it is still the case up there, but there were tons of the large black and tiny blue ones back then.

        I’m glad you got to experience that. There are a few around my house but they are camera shy. 🙈

          There are fewer around than I remember as a kid in the cities, but maybe I’m just remembering things wrong. Definitely fewer butterflies.

            You are right, there seems to be fewer of a lot of natures beautiful creatures.
