i walk
the black sands
hand on hand
holding the blade
carving a line
none dare cross
we are rose petals
scattered scarlet
blood my blood
a desert red without
you mouth to
drink me in
winter song of wine
a stone beach
broken of time

Beautiful, in a scarlet and wintery way. 😎
Thank you Laura 🙏🏼
Fantastic!
Thanks!
Stormbringer rises, whose blood does the demon sword want to taste . . .
I can see that. It wasn’t the inspiration or intent, but I can definitely see that image paired with the piece.
😜
o friend. i seriously had a song i called “drink me in” that i played somewhat obsessively in my road days, only rarely to an audience. i don’t think i’ve heard the phrase again outside this blog. serendipity strikes again! Hah! : )
It does seem at times we are cut of the same cloth… I’d love to hear it if any recordings exist. You’ll have to share if there are. 💕
Lol, sometimes I wish there were, but it was CD days and those haven’t survived so many moves. Other times I am very relieved there are not. And other times still, I think of making new versions in another key. Thanks for this reminder, friend : )
I dubbed a couple of old cassettes demos to digital and I know what you mean. If you do a re-record, I’d love to hear it.
