we are carved
jagged of purpose
we are wraps
we are rags
we flint, we thorn
we tooth, we bone
suns twinned, southern low
cracked lips, nail broke
ragged
we winter in heart
waiting for blood

You captured well that feeling of winter in heart. Now, if only spring would come!
Oh, you’re having one of those springs too? We just started warming up on a regular basis in the past week…
It was a tough cold winter, and that’s rolled over into spring. Though the last few days have been warming up. Can’t wait for summer.
If you don’t mind my asking, where do you live? If I already asked, I apologize. I need refreshers now and again.
Buffalo, NY. Lots of snow!
Even more than we get at times because of that pesky lake effect. Yeah, not envious of your shoveling requirements 😂
Haha. I’ve got a lot of shoveling done in my life.
I imagine.
Magnificent!
Thank you!
Most welcome, Michael.
Great piece – clinging to the hope that spring will come.
It will, eventually.
…I think?
🙏
Perfect words for the picture. Cold yet grandiose.
Thanks, Ray. I appreciate it.
